"I only rarely have written about the marriage bed, or physical intimacy, because there is not a great detail about this in biblical doctrine, beyond the point that intimacy (or sex) is a responsibility, as is having children. However, I want to write about the marriage bed today because I hear so many people, men especially, saying that their spouse refuses intimacy, often for months, or years on end. I have known one colleague who told me this, but reading online, judging by the comments of men, it appears to be an enormous and destructive problem in marriage. It’s not a mere annoyance. It is a marriage destroyer."
