Visit Zanzibar: An Unexpected African Island Vacation

Pristine beaches. Snorkeling. Kite-surfing. Not what you think of when you think of Africa? Maybe it's time you think again.

Zanzibar is an island in Tanzania, in the Indian ocean and just a 2 hour flight from Addis. It's not far from the famous Mombassa in Kenya, but we wanted to try something a little different.

My family was craving some beach time, and we had heard Zanzibar was beautiful. And it made one hell of an impression! I'm going to post some more detailed videos, but in this vlog, I'll show you:
Stonetown, a beautiful city with old-style laneways on the west coast of the island, just 30 minutes from the airport. Full of shopping and fantastic seafood.
The Freddie Mercury Museum Yes, Freddie Mercury from Queen is actually from Zanzibar, Tanzania in Africa.
Paje, a beautiful resort town on the eastern side of the island, and where we spent the duration of our stay.

Highly recommend Zanzibar to anyone looking for a beach holiday. 10/10!
