Overview video of a skeleton clock made by Robert Roskell, c.1840. This type of design was also used by James Condliff where the clock movement is held aloft above the clock base by four columns. Roskell used four tapered and fluted columns. A balance wheel escapement is located between the movement and base. The entire lever escapement and balance wheel are jeweled. Roskell lowered the escapement on a longer subframe to make it more visible than did the Condliff's. The base and case or of an octagonal design and lend their design nicely to the clock's presentation. More details are on my website here: https://www.my-time-machines.net/rosk.... A Condliff can be also be seen at www. my-time-machines.com.
