Describes how the normal force changes based on the motion of an elevator. The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force applied to the object and inversely proportional to the mass of the object. The second law can also be stated in terms of an object's changing momentum, such that the rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to the net force applied and the change in momentum is in the direction of the net force.
