Misandry is the hatred of males. It is the male equivalent of misogyny. Even though misandry is more common in today's society, it's also more ignored.
Even as I am typing this, the word 'misandry' comes up as a misspelled word. Spell check recognizes 'misogyny' as a word but it does not recognize 'misandry' as a word. This seems to be a reflection of how society in general views these two concepts (or rather, views one but ignores the other).
