This Creek was FULL OF TROUT and They Were HUGE! - Fly Fishing Soda Butte Creek - Yellowstone NP

I visited Yellowstone National Park for the first time this year with plans to see the amazing sights the park has to offer, observe the surreal wildlife, and catch the prized cutthroat trout. The cutthroat trout is a species I had admired ever since I first got into fly fishing and when the opportunity arose to fish for this fish I was more than excited. Throughout my visit to Yellowstone I filmed all the fishing I did with hopes of getting amazing footage. Little did I know the fishing would be so good I could get three videos of my trip. The next few videos I post will be part of a "mini-series" that shows my outings throughout my stay at Yellowstone. The park is beautiful and the fishing is amazing so I hope you guys enjoy these videos almost as much as I enjoy making them.
In this video, I visit Yellowstone's Soda Butte Creek in the Lamar Valley of the park in hopes of catching some big cutthroat trout. Not only did I catch big trout but also tons of trout. This was my best outing of the vacation and the cutties couldn't resist my flies. I ended up catching over twenty fish in the creek before Hoot Owl at 2 pm when fishing is no longer allowed. The creek was full of caddis and after putting a peeping caddis jig on I couldn't stop the action.
