3 WAYS HOW TO CREATE A MERMAID SKIRT | MERMAID SKIRT PATTERNMAKING (SILENT MODE)| LA MODÉLISTE

For today's tutorial, I will teach you guys 3 ways to create a mermaid skirt.

1. Gore / Panel Mermaid Skirt
2. Slash & Spread Mermaid Skirt
3. Half Circle Mermaid Skirt

I have been using these 3 methods before with my clients. But I mostly use the Gore Mermaid skirt method. It is a lot of work but the final result is so beautiful.

I mostly use half-circle mermaid skirts for petticoats.

The slash & spread method on the other hand is great for bridal gowns. Like the half-circle mermaid skirt, it doesn't require paneling and it is the easiest among the 3 methods.
