"The Haunted Palace" plunges into the Joseon dynasty, where the seemingly upright and handsome palace officer Yun Gap becomes a vessel for a malevolent Imoogi with ties to his first love, Yeo Ri. Yeo Ri, a shaman's granddaughter who has turned her back on her spiritual gifts to become a glass artisan, finds herself drawn into the haunted palace after Yun Gap's possession. The Imoogi seeks her body for its heavenly ascent, a fate she will not allow. Inside the palace, King Yi Seong, a monarch striving for reform, contends with terrifying incidents orchestrated by vengeful female ghosts. The possessed Yun Gap, Yeo Ri, and the King are then compelled to unravel the mysteries behind these powerful spirits.
