After East Penn’s parent company, Regional Rail, acquired the owners of GP10 7580, they brought the locomotive to East York where it has been sitting ever since. 7580 has had a long history of operators, with the most recent few being tourist lines. It ended up in New Freedom, just south of York, pulling passengers on Steam into History under lease. Once the lease was up, Steam into History acquired their own GP9, leaving 7580 to sit. It stayed on property, as it had a few issues and was not leased out. Once Regional Rail acquired it, Steam into History brought the locomotive to York Rail, who took it the short distance to East Penn. Some work was done, and here it is pulling freight as a test run in place of the normal GP9 power, 1701.
