Left 4 Dead 2 Custom Campaign: Death Summit

This is a short two-chapter campaign where the survivors climb the side of a mountain to reach the summit and signal a rescue chopper. There isn’t much to this map, and while the idea is cool, the execution is… rough.
I do like the winter arctic theme — the snow, the icy atmosphere, the mountain backdrop — but there really aren’t any details beyond that, so the whole thing ends up feeling pretty bland.
Gameplay-wise, I’m mixed. The concept is interesting: long ladder climbs, loose planks that collapse under you, narrow platforms, and constant risk of falling to your death. It could be a fun challenge, but the special infected turn it into a headache. Smokers, Chargers, Jockeys, and even Tanks can spawn on these tiny ledges. And yes, Tanks have a massive advantage here — one punch and your entire team is gone. The only reason my Tank didn’t wipe us is because Nick got punched onto another ledge by pure luck. That’s not skill; that’s divine intervention.
And the bots? They’re awful here. They already struggle with ladders, and this campaign is nothing but ladders. They kept jumping off cliffs trying to follow me, so I eventually gave up and used Admin Cheats to warp them along. There was no other way they were going to survive Chapter 1.

Chapter 2 is basically just the finale. It takes place in a wide open area after climbing down yet another long ladder — which I did not risk letting the bots handle. The arena itself is fine, plenty of space, but the real issue is that there are no supplies. No medkits, no throwables, nothing but an ammo pile. Sure, this might be tolerable on Easy or Normal, but on Advanced or Expert, this becomes one of those “the creator did not care about the player” situations real fast. You’re expected to fight two Tanks and multiple hordes with zero healing.
Then comes the escape sequence — a simple run to the helicopter. And of course, the bots ran to the chopper, froze, and immediately got overwhelmed by common infected and the Tank. I was the only one who made it out alive. Typical.

All in all, I don’t recommend this campaign unless you’re extremely curious or want a quick novelty run. It’s short, it’s unfair in the wrong ways, and the bot navigation makes solo play a disaster. If you do play it, bring a full human team. Otherwise, this is yet another one-and-done for me.

I know that this campaign is very polarized (no pun intended) as some poeple love it while others hate it. I tried to be fair with my review, but at the end of the day, it's my opinion.
