Did you know the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) lowered the age for self-referral to 40? That means if you’re between the ages of 40 and 74, you can now book your own mammogram – no doctor’s referral needed. Early detection saves lives, and we want as many women as possible in our community to book theirs—every year.
To show what it’s really like, our VP and CIO, Lindsay Wyers, celebrated turning 40 not with a convertible or sourdough starter, but with her first mammogram. She was even featured in an honest vlog about it—spoiler alert: it was quick, professional, and less uncomfortable than the dentist (and faster than a Tim’s drive-thru).
