First time in Brussels, Belgium. Great city... about 1-1/2 hours from Paris and Amsterdam by train. Would be a good central location to tour Europe. We toured Bruges, Gent, Dinant (birthplace of the saxophone), and Luxembourg from Brussels.
The hotel, Cardo Brussels, is located near multiple restaurants, shopping districts, museums, and multiple landmarks, all within walking distance. The hotel is a new building about 1 yr old. The reception is on floor 2 along with the hotel bar. There are 3 restaurants located on site, Gritto is open for breakfast, Doodles is the hotel bar with bar bites and great views, and Akai, which is Asian- fusion, on the top floor, and not owned by the hotel. The hotel also has a rooftop pool, a spa, and a workout facility.
Our room, the Sky Fab Suite, was a complete surprise. We were upgraded from our reservation since we're Marriott Bonvoy members, and it was my birthday. As you can see in the video, the size was great, and having the extra toilet room was a bonus. There's a sleeper sofa if needed. Really enjoyed the fact that you could control the lights, temperature, and window shades from multiple control panels located throughout the room.
