MANUAL PROGRAMMING of the Computer SMART III
INTRODUCTION
Once the whole unit is properly installed, it will be connected to the power supply. The serial number of the device and main screen with the values measured will pop up.
ENTERING THE PASSWORD To access the setup menu, enter the password: Long press: Combination:
CURRENT TRANSFORMATION RATIO
Configure the primary and secondary value of the current transformer.
In this case it is:
Transformer 200/5
Primary: 200 A
Secondary: 5 A
TARGET COS ϕ The cos ϕ lets you determine the required power factor for the installation. Configure the first cos ϕ that appears at the top of the screen. In this case: • Cos ϕ = 0.98 L
*CIRCUTOR recommendation cos fi =1 (according to the legislation of each country) For specific installations and programming the rest of the target cos ϕ check the complete manual. CONNECTION AND RECLOSING TIME
Configure the action times of the device in seconds:
• ton: minimum time between the connection and disconnection of a single stage.
• trEc: minimum time between the disconnection and connection of a single stage.
trEc should at least be 5 times greater than ton.
For Computer Smart III
• ton: 10 s
• trEC: 50 s
For Computer Smart III Fast
• ton: 10 cycles
• trEC: 50 cycles
CONNECTION TYPE
Select the connection type of the installation, where:
• 3U3C: 3 voltages + neutral and 3 currents.
• 3U1C: 3 voltages + neutral and 1 current.
• 2U1C: 2 voltages and 1 current.
In this case:
3U3C: 3 voltages + neutral and 3 currents.
PHASE CONNECTION
If you have selected the three currents connection (3U3C), associate each current with its voltage and indicate the direction of the current (direct or reverse).
Select the combination that gives you a cos fi value greater than 0.5 that is inductive (L).
In this case the direction is direct (d).
NO. OF STAGES
Select the number of stages.
In this case:
• Capacitor bank composition: 10 + ( 4 x 20 )
• No. of stages: 5
PROGRAM
Shows the proportional relationship between the first stage and the rest
In this case:
• Capacitor bank composition: 10 + ( 4 x 20 )
• Program: 1.2.2.2
C/K FACTOR
The C/K factor is adjusted according to the reactive current provided by the smallest stage, measured in the secondary of the current transformer (CT).
Example:
1st stage = 10 kvar
Current transformer = 200/5
Icond. = (10000 / (400 x 1.73)) = 14.45 A
C/K = (14.45 / (200/5)) = 0.36
Refer to the tables accompanying the manual and the quick guide to determine its exact C/K value.
VOLTAGE LEVEL
Select the unit voltage level.
There are two possible options:
LOW.v Low voltage
HIGH.v: High voltage
If you select the high-voltage option, some of the functions of the unit will be disabled.
See the complete manual for selecting the high-voltage option.
ADVANCED SETUP
Here you can enter the advanced setup.
See the complete manual for more information on advanced setup settings.
SAVE CONFIGURATION
Long press the central button to save the configuration and enter the simulation screen, where the device will display the current values.
With a second long press of the button, the device will enter normal operating mode (run).
The capacitor bank is now operational.
