In this video you will see me making a pendant from 5000 year old Norfolk bog oak and abalone shell without a lathe!
So, it's not a wood whirling video this time, but it was fun to try something different. I used the leftover Norfolk bog oak from my pendant turning video, abalone shell fragments and some UV resin to make this pendant.
I'm new to working with the UV resin but found it straightforward enough and think it will be very useful in upcoming projects. Watch this space.
This project could be made entirely with hand tools but you'll still need the UV lamp for curing the UV resin. They are relatively inexpensive and the UV resin is on sale all over the internet.
**There is a voice over introduction but then it's just you with the music and machine sounds - remember I am still looking for a name for Foxy's brother from another mother! - drop your ideas in the comments please.
