In this video, Miky is testing a supposedly brand-new TDA8954TH and TDA8953TH. ICs are tested in a controlled, safe manner, with current limiting applied to external supplies in case of a shorted output transistor inside the IC. Applying full board power could destroy other parts of the PCB and components on it, to this kind of testing is crucial to make sure everything is OK before applying Mains power.
