Arcturus - Away from the Comfort Zone #5
The last project from Circuits’ own homegrown project - the name, Arcturus, is also that of a red giant seen in the Northern Hemisphere of Earth’s sky – the brightest star in the constellation Boötes, more commonly known as The Herdsman.
Recorded at the live music hub Storeroom, Arcturus is fronted by saxophonist Carlo Muscat and producer Keith Farrugia, who records under the aliases of Stimulus Timbre & Sound Synthesis, this intimate, playfully improvised musical journey infuses the electronic realm with smooth jazzy tones.
An intense, magical voyage awaits.
This project was conceived for Circuits, which has received the three-year Investment in Cultural Organisations grant from Arts Council Malta. It is further supported by Spazju Kreattiv, the German-Maltese Circle and Goethe-Institut.
