Nativity Card and Citizenship: നേറ്റിവിറ്റി കാർഡ് പൗരത്വം അടക്കമുള്ള ആശങ്കകൾക്ക് ഒരു പരിധിവരെ പരിഹാരമാകുമെന്ന സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാരിന്റെ അവകാശവാദത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ വ്യക്തത വരേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. പൗരത്വം തെളിയിക്കാൻ കേരളത്തിലെ നേറ്റിവിറ്റി കാർഡ് അംഗീകൃത രേഖയായി പരിഗണിക്കുമോയെന്ന ചോദ്യവുമുണ്ട്. നിലവിൽ നേറ്റിവിറ്റി സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റിനു സംസ്ഥാനത്തുള്ള വ്യവസ്ഥകൾ തന്നെയാണോ കാർഡിനും ബാധകമാകുകയെന്നതു മറ്റൊരു ചോദ്യം.

There needs to be greater clarity on the state government’s claim that the nativity card would, to some extent, address concerns including those related to citizenship. A key question is whether Kerala’s nativity card will be considered a recognised document for proving citizenship. Another issue is whether the same rules and conditions that currently apply to nativity certificates in the state will also be applicable to the nativity card.
