This is a detailed, step-by-step tutorial for making a cotton coaster using the Jasmine Star Stitch. The tutorial includes details for the stitch and the border, plus tips for managing the yarn and finishing it off.
Once you master the technique, these coasters can be worked up in less than half an hour. A set of 4-6 makes a lovely gift!
I recommend using a durable cotton yarn. My favorite yarn for this project is Lion Brand 24/7 mercerized cotton. It comes in many lovely colors and is a durable, attractive yarn. I don’t get paid to promote it - it’s just one of my favorite yarns!
