This week’s paracord project is a Dog Chew Toy. You only need about 20 feet of paracord and a tennis ball.

Here are the steps to make your own paracord dog chew toy:

You will need:
-Scissors
-Lighter
-Paracord you only need about 20 feet – I did 10 feet of 2 colors
-Tennis Ball
-Knife

First step, use a knife to cut a 1 inch slit in the tennis ball.

Then using the paracord, you need to make about a foot long weave. I chose to do a 4 strand round braid, but you can do whatever you want. Here is a link for a few options:

In the end, leave a small loop to be able to thread some spare paracord to help pull it through the tennis ball.

Now thread the spare paracord in the tennis ball..it helps to squeeze the tennis ball to open the slot.

Once you have one side started, squeeze the other side of the tennis ball and find the ends of the paracord. Then pull it all the way through the ball…and your weaved paracord comes through too!

Now connect the 2 weaved ends and form a handle..doing whatever method you like. I am doing a cobra weave, and then I will do over it again to make a king cobra so it is a nice fat handle for tug of war.

Then trim the ends of the paracord and melt them into the project.
