Watch our Remembrance Day Service 2024 in Bromborough Pool Village.
We gathered for a very special occasion, marking Remembrance Day with a service outside the former church building in Bromborough Pool Village.
The service was very kindly conducted by a local vicar, Rev Jenny Gillies from St Barnabas Church.
There was a wonderful turnout as local people, mingled with Autism Together staff and people we support, gathered on either side of the newly-refurbished war memorial, which the vicar blessed as part of the service.
There was a very respectful 2-minute silence, along with a rendition of ‘The Last Post’ expertly performed on electric guitar by two of our staff members, Christopher Mitchell and Alex Harris.
Afterwards, many people headed back to our nearby Bromborough Pool Cafe for a warming cuppa and a poppy biscuit, made by the people we support.
Huge thanks to the Rev Jenny Gillies for presiding over this special service, to Christopher and Alex for their performances, and to everybody who came along to remember all who gave their lives in armed conflict.
We will remember them.
