Removing roots from a leach pit EP20

In this video I uncover an existing leach pit that is impacted with redwood tree roots. I use a John Deere 1.7 ton mini excavator to make the job a bit easier. I discover that the roots had completely filled the pipe at the leach pit manifold. The only option is to cut and remove the pipe and rebuild with new pipe. I also take time to dig out root impacted drain rock. I use two large culvert pipes to shoot the rock down the hill into the leach pit. I am able to make the repairs just in time for the property owners to be able to flush the toilet again!
