Alleged Bot Farm Running 18,000 Accounts Busted in West Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) said in a press release on February 8 that it had raided two bot farms in the western city of Lviv that were managing up to 18,000 "fake" accounts. The SSU alleged the farms were supervised from Russia and were sowing panic through false information, including by spreading fake bomb threats. Three people were arrested, including two people alleged to have run the farms from their apartments, and a third whom the SSU says was responsible for technical issues.
