A trip to the hospital with my wife, to see her mother who'd just had a bad tooth extracted.
Every time we go to the hospital, all the workers smile and say hello, are friendly and helpful. Even those who are not directly involved with us are ready to help in any way they can and without question, from showing where the lift is to getting a coffee. My admeration for them is beyond words. Some living in Britain are racist and do not want these workers here but they don't realise they will be looked after, made well again and kept healthy by the very people they vilify.
Our mixed background culture is Britain's greatest strength.
