In this video I discuss everything I’ve learned about this common metal allergy. I share my journey about getting tested for a nickel allergy as well as my treatment.
• I STRONGLY believe that my permanent retainer was keeping me sick and triggering my allergy related rashes.
• Starting Dupixent injections for inflammation
• Following a strict low nickel diet
• Swapping metal cookware to ceramic pots and pans
• Switching from stainless steel to a glass water bottle
• Drinking only distilled water and cutting out processed foods

I know very personally how difficult having a nickel allergy can be. I would cry all the time and was embarrassed to go out in public when my rash was flaring up. I felt hopeless after months of very restrictive eating and painful shots that improved, but did not heal, me. I’ve also had a difficult time coming to terms with the fact that I made myself permanently sick and even SAID THAT OUT LOUD to myself as I was recklessly poisoning myself. That being said I am so grateful for all of my friends and family who have supported me and listened to me talk endlessly about my condition. I am so very grateful for Dr. Herman and Dr. Najand who have helped me overcome the worst of my nickel allergy.
