Inside Seattle's Oldest Haunted Bar: The Chilling Secrets of Merchants Café / Ghost Tourist S4E10

Ghost Tourists have to eat just like everyone else who hasn't yet shaken off this mortal coil, so stopping at the Merchants Cafe, the closest food spot to our tour, was an obvious choice. What we didn't know was that we had randomly picked one of the oldest and most haunted restaurants in all of Seattle! It was super old and filled with spirits AND ghosts!

Our visit to Merchants Café quickly turned from a casual exploration into a chilling descent into one of Seattle’s most notorious haunted locations. The moment we stepped into the basement, the air shifted—heavy, cold, and unnervingly still—as if something unseen was watching from the shadows. Staff have long reported the presence of a little girl’s spirit, and down there it’s easy to believe. There are stories of a former prostitute from the building’s brothel days and the owners and staff don't shy away from sharing their eerie encounters. We loved hearing the bartender's chilling firsthand experiences which only deepened the sense that something truly supernatural resides here.
