Logic Pro: How to use Velocity To Pitch

We know all about Velocity, right? We know it’s the controller which allows us to use the strength of our playing technique to shape Volume when we’re using a MIDI keyboard.

However, like any MIDI control option, Velocity can be used to manipulate all kinds of things and it’s used in many synths to interrupt Envelope assignments to the Filter, to add tonal bite as we play our keyboards harder. This week, we’re also going to assign Velocity to the Pitch of a synth sound, to work on a specific kind of detune, which I think might appeal to EDM producers and sound designers alike.
