This is a cheeky play on words, because the word for an emergency at sea is "Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!" (Probably originating in the French "M'aidez" - Help me, though the imperative is "Aidez-moi").
I was on my boat, but not in any danger. Today is May Day, the second Sunday after Easter and the feast of Saints Philip and James. I went up the same part of the Mayenne as last 21st March. The leaves on the trees are now nearly mature. There is no narrative, and the video is accompanied by George Butterworth's second English Idyll.
