The UAE Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE) has expanded the Wage Protection System (WPS) in 2025. From April 1, 2025, several categories of domestic workers—including private teachers, trainers, home caregivers, private representatives, and agricultural engineers—must now be paid through WPS within 10 working days.
In addition, MOHRE has partnered with e& money to make wage payments easier, safer, and fully digital. Employers can now pay salaries directly via IBAN, digital wallets, or prepaid cards.
This update strengthens compliance, ensures salary protection, and enhances financial inclusion in the UAE.
