I received this video yesterday from a client. She said “ her heart was bursting with joy” after watching her laminitic and foundered mare run with so much freedom.
Early this fall the bay mare (the one farther in the background when the video starts) suffered such extreme laminitis she couldn’t walk for days.
Her owner called me and we removed her shoes and started her barefoot journey. She was badly foundered but with proper diet, trimming and movement you can see in this video she is thriving. Her health is improving and she is on track to have beautiful functional barefoot hooves.
Stories like this are why I do what I do. Why I spend every spare minute of my life learning and devoting myself to helping horses.
