Clock Tower: Rewind - Full Game (Ending S)

Nearly 30 years ago, Human Entertainment released Clock Tower for the SNES, a point-and-click adventure game that was instrumental in establishing the survival horror 'genre.' The presentation was pretty amazing for its time, and it still holds up incredibly well thanks to its excellent sprite work, art, and animation. And now, WayForward has released an updated version of this game for modern platforms that includes a lot of improvements and additional content.

I love horror movies and horror games, so of course I enjoyed this a lot. There are a couple of things that can make it frustrating if you're used to more modern games, like not having a map screen, and doors not being labeled (so when you get a key, you have no idea which locked door it goes to), but it's still really enjoyable overall. There are a lot of different endings you can get, and there are random elements that they put in to make each play through a bit different (like the locations of certain rooms, and which items you need in order to progress). It's also not a long game once you've figured out the puzzles, so replaying it to see all of the endings is fun instead of feeling like a slog.

Clock Tower: Rewind was released a few days ago on all modern platforms for $19.99. If you get it on Steam, however, it has a big 25% launch discount, so it'll only cost you $14.99. Either way, it's well worth it if you enjoy these types of games!

PS. This game was heavily inspired by Phenomena, which is probably my favorite Dario Argento movie. Check it out if you haven't seen it!
