In this video I dive deep into Flambient — the art of blending flash (strobe) and ambient light — for architectural and interior photography. I walk through how to meter, place and control the strobe so that you get soft, even light with zero harsh shadows, while still letting incandescent bulbs glow with warmth and natural window light come through.
I also show my workflow in LightRoom Classic for combining multiple exposures and stitching panoramic interiors, so your final images feel immersive and natural.
You’ll learn:
What Flambient is and why it’s powerful for interiors and architecture (flash + ambient blending)
How to suppress or control ambient light in your flash exposures so colors stay neutral and consistent
Techniques for placing and modifying the strobe (bouncing, diffusion, etc.) to get soft falloff
Metering strategies and blending tips
How to combine exposures and stitch panoramas for architectural interiors
Whether you shoot homes, architectural interiors, hospitality, or just want to level up your interior lighting, this workflow will help you produce polished, natural-looking images with clean light and mood intact.
