I'm going to be sharing three hacks you can do to #performbetterinsport
1: Visualisation Technique (00:10)
Visualization is the act of imagining you overcoming the challenge
You might be facing.
Being physical or mental such repeated imagery can build both experience and confidence and an athlete's ability to perform
Sports visualization training gives you confidence as an athletes to perform better.
But here's the catch about visualization you don't only have to
Visualize it like they say, but you also have to feel it the emotions that are gonna go through your mind on your body, before during and after you do it feel this sense of satisfaction and achievement that you're going to feel that you're going to have
Once you've overcome this challenge. This is visualization.
2: Entering The Zone (01:00)
The second hack you need to be able to perform better is
entering the zone in sports which means that while you're doing something being physical or mental
There's nothing literally nothing that goes to your mind it feels like time to stop moving and you just you're one-on-one with what you're doing
Being in the zone shuts all types of distractions that are constantly
bombarding your head. Getting in the flow is going to help you to focus on what you're doing and only what you're doing not anything else.
There are two techniques I use at different times to get into the zone.
The first one I use when trying to change mental states.
I found the most effective to get in the zone is actually in jump rope with your eyes closed or blindfolded.
Jumping rope with your eyes closed puts your mind in your body and sync together your bodies following.
What's your mind is telling it and there's no place for a distraction
Now the second technique I use to get into a more enhanced state of mind or just if you want them a
Stronger flow it's when I have to do like a really heavy set or just go through my last couples of reps.
To get into this more enhanced state of mind . All I do is just close my eyes and breathe and count my breath.
So let's say I close my eyes and I start breathing deep in and out. I know that on my twelfth breath
This is where I'm going to lift the weight. This is where I'm going to do the burpee.
3: Self Confidence (03:20)
The third way to perform better is to actually have confidence in yourself
So there's a hack I always do and that is has been scientifically proven to increase your confidence
And it's actually to do power poses. Power Poses are anything you do where you have an open posture.
It can be just your hands open your hands on your hips anything
That doesn't mean that you have your hands closed on yourself.
Power pauses have been proved by research to increase the testosterone in your body.
And therefore make you more confident.
Do power poses to increase the confidence in yourself and being confident in your capacity to achieve something is really going to make the difference
Super Routine: (04:30)
I'd like to introduce the super routine and it is in my opinion one of the most powerful routines you can do anywhere, anytime.
Anywhere anytime you can do to perform at like at peak performance and it's actually to combine the three hacks
I have just talked about. So imagine you're standing here at a power pose for 30 seconds
Now at the same time you close your eyes and you visualize yourself
achieving the challenge in front of you and at the same time you're counting your breath you're taking deep breath
counting and you know that as the 20th breath you just open your eyes and
you're ready to conquer.
