Video of my cnc lathe turning a shape in 6061 aluminum using a groove/turn tool to do the cutting. This tool uses a small insert that is locked into it and allows it to cut on both the front and the back side of the insert. This allows it to cut a shape such as this knob shape without having to use multiple tools. Cut at 1000 Rpm with a .035" D.O.C.
