I have never done a whitewater race before but I bought a long boat this year so I figured why not do the Upper Yough race. I made plenty of small errors that sucked up a lot of time and did a lot of fighting with the boat but thankfully didn't mess up anything big and managed to pace myself fairly well and kept things moving. I finished in 38th place in the mens long boat division and 48th overall with a time of 36 minutes 46 seconds. Tons of room for improvement but I'm happy with my performance.
