African Elephant Pupy Arrives at Her New Sanctuary Home

The moment we’ve been waiting for has now arrived! Pupy is home at Elephant Sanctuary Brazil after a multi-day ride from Buenos Aires. It’s time for her to emerge from her crate and get acclimated to her new space. She’ll stay in the barn for a day or two to get settled and then she will be the first elephant to grace the female African habitat. Pupy is in charge of what happens now. As has been the case since the trip began, she is leading the way. Take some time to enjoy this special moment with us. We promise you will never forget it.

Elephant Sanctuary Brazil is located in Mato Grosso, Brazil, and we are a vast space sanctuary that allows captive elephants to have the most natural life possible. We are currently home to five female Asian elephants and now our first female African elephant!
