*Sorry about the poor video quality. Once I figure out the uploading issue I'll fix it.*
Here I show how I use use my carbon fiber cloth cut offs and scraps to make consistent strand chopped/shredded or 'forged' carbon, instead of throwing them away. The scraps that I'm feeding the paper cutter in this video are a very heavy tight weave 600g 12K 2x2 twill (this is a regular non-pre-preg cloth) Compared to your average and common 200g 3K twill, this stuff is like a QUILT and the shredder eats it with ease. You will notice that I feed the pieces in on the 45* angle. This is to avoid getting longer vertical or horizontal strands that don't quite get cut. The shredder was from STAPLES and cost around $150usd. It is a cross shredder, but it is not a "micro cross shredder", its just a regular cross-shredding paper shredder. It does have a button to reverse the rollers/cutters and a button to hold for continuous feed. After this video I ran an and entire box of scraps through it with no jambs, clogs or issues.
*When cutting carbon, and ESPECIALLY working with chopped/shredded/forged carbon like this, ALWAYS WEAR AN APPROPRIATE MASK!!*
