At the 2011 International Chronometry Competition held by the Le Locle Museum of Horology, the Greubel Forsey Double Tourbillon Technique scored 915 points from a possible 1,000 to claim first place both in the tourbillon category and the overall competition.
After 45 days of testing, which included, substantial shocks, exposure to magnetic fields and wide temperature differences, the Double Tourbillon Technique ran with a a quartz-beating precision of just 0.5 seconds per day between positions.
