When Sarah and Vasa learn of TK's unfair treatment of Zac, Sarah determines to have a word with TK about his behaviour. At home, TK frets to Roimata that he went too far telling Zac off, but Roimata bolsters it's just part of the job and urges him to stay confident. However, Sarah reminds TK that new staff need a little lenience and he's given pause. Working with TK again, Zac suspects Sarah's gone in to bat for him when he gets an easy ride. He confronts Sarah, who claims she had no part in TK's turnaround. Sarah justifies to Vasa that she's just trying to help, but Vasa feels TK doesn't deserve the bad break he's been given. TK begins to relax around Zac, but his suspicions return when Vasa warns him about Zac.

Off the success with the shoes, Lana prompts Josh to persevere with the sales. Josh is reluctant, and Lana's affronted when he suggests she can't cope without a pet project to take up her free time. Lana doesn't believe this, but is shaken when she begins to find evidence that Josh could be right. She confides to Paige that her desire to help is rooted in her past with her depressed mother, and Paige urges her to try and let go of control. Lana does so, but her resolve quickly weakens and she steps in to save the day. Daniel notices her struggling to enjoy the praise, and when Lana fills her in on Josh's assertions, Daniel urges Lana not to listen - everyone likes her how she is. Lana's bolstered, and enjoys her interfering instincts when she saves a sheepish Josh from getting in trouble with TK.

Jasmine is rattled by Evan's derisive comments that she's just not popular enough to hold a friendship with Angel. Jasmine fears Evan is right when Angel is charmed by a popular girl at school - Britney. Believing Britney to be shallow, Jasmine hopes Angel will see through Britney's intentions but is frustrated when Angel appears attracted to Britney. Refusing to give up on Angel, Jasmine enlists Evans help to get Angel out of Britney's grasp. When this fails, a desperate Jasmine resorts to slandering Britney. However, Jasmine is crushed when Angel is deeply disappointed in Jasmine's judgmental attitude.
