Leviticus 26 is part of what some refer to as the Holiness Code in the Bible. God promises blessing for obedience but he also promises punishment for disobedience. It’s the same principles you raise children by. If your children are obedient to the things you want from them and for them, you have a much more harmonious relationship and you should reward good behavior. If your children are rebellious and often challenge your authority, you know you have to manage their behavior into the desirable state and that’s more difficult for both of you.
