As a young activist who has founded her own CBO, Raising Dada, Irene faces challenges in getting space for advocacy, avoiding profiling, and securing funding. Drawing from her empowering SRHR training with CGHRD, Irene emphasizes the importance of understanding one's rights over their body, including access to information on safe abortion and comprehensive sex education, which she feels the current education system fails to provide adequately, contributing to triple threats of teenage pregnancy, HIV, and GBV.
Irene's personal motivation stems from being human and wanting to see others succeed, acknowledging the importance of collective care and valuing human connection alongside organizational work.
