Kakilambe is a tall, stilt walking, masked spirit of the Baga people of Guinea, w. Africa. My teacher has told me Kakilambe comes from the forest or the ocean every seven years to bring a prophecy of life to those costal people. The eldest men dance around Kakilambe for hours and hours, until there is one man left standing, and he is the one to hear the prophecy for the people. Kakilambe is a protector and healing spirit, and is played for those who may be sick and need an infusion of good energy to speed their recovery. May Kakilambe send you and yours some good medicine.
