Overnight train to the Arctic Circle | Santa Claus Express Finland (Helsinki to Rovaniemi)

We're taking the Santa Claus Express, an overnight sleeper train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi, to experience what it's like to travel to the Arctic Circle by rain, in summer!

This was our very first time taking an overnight train, so of course, we booked a private sleeper cabin to make the most of it. It was surprisingly affordable, probably because it's off season for Lapland, but honestly, summer in the Arctic is kind of magical.

In this video we're starting from the Helsinki train station, taking you along for the whole journey. We'll show you what it's like to sleep and eat on board, and if we'd recommend this adventure to other travelers.
