I lost some of the Video of the trip on the SOT from Melbourne, so I made extra video on the trip back.

Tip 1: If taking a Caravan over to Tasmania, you will find it necessary to book approx. 6 months in advance. Walk on passengers and smaller vehicles would be a lesser time period.
Tip 2: What time you arrive in vehicle, does not determine what time you get on & off the boat at the other end. It is a real skill for the crew to pack as many different size & height vehicles onto various decks.
Tip 3: Don't arrive later that 45 minutes before departure time, they won't let you on the boat. Otherwise could be a few months wait for the next vacancy.
Tip 4: It can incur more expense & difficulty to change your timetable times.
Tip 5: In my opinion it is worth paying a little extra for a Reclining chair. People try to sleep on lounge chairs in Lounge area, but it looks awkward. Some people try to sneak in and grab an unoccupied reclining desk chair.
Tip 6: Remember which deck you vehicle is parked on. At disembarkment, they call certain Levels to go to their vehicles first.
Tip 7: Border Control is very strict on prohibited Plants, food entering Tasmania, even checking under car bonnet for stray animals or banned substances. Officers will want to check random areas of your vehicle, Caravan Fridge, Shower & under Car bonnet.
