First year for the Ranchero which barrows both styling and drivetrain from the 57 Thunderbird.

FMX Ford 3 Speed Automatic transmission shifts perfectly smooth with Power Steering, rear axle is a Ford 9” inch.

Interior has been recovered in parchment vinyl with cloth and is in very nice condition as is the headliner and carpet. Original steering wheel in incredible condition as is the dash and gauges which all work including speedometer.

This is a very original Ford Ranchero with all original exterior moldings, chrome, trim, Re-chromed original bumpers. Emblems are super nice original. Ranchero was repainted in Teal Blue with super straight body and nice lines. Bed is in very nice condition, bed walls also very nice.
Undercarriage is all rust free and clean driver condition.
Suspension is very good as this car has been serviced and maintained. Front end alignment, turned drums and new brakes pads 4.1.2022.

21,705 Ford Ranchos were produced in 1957 / 6,429 standard Rancheros and 15,277 of the Custom Rancheros were sold.
Assembly plant on this Ranchero Custom was San Jose California.

This Ford starts, runs and drives very nice and is ready to show and cruise. Turnkey show car with no issues. Turn signals, lights, brake lights all work as designed. Easy and fun to drive with comfort of a car and benefits of a truck bed and tail gate.
This 57 Ranchero has been stored inside and covered and loved here in Southern California since it was new in 1957. Very sporty sharp looking and sounding hot rod as you can hear I the video.
Disclosures: key will only start car in neutral, possibly due to a bad neutral safety switch. Clock and Radio are currently non operational. Paint has minimal scratches, chips, touch ups, imperfections.
