In this video I show you step by step, the entire process of building a steampunk, industrial, pipe lamp from start to finish. Follow the instructions and you will have a steam punk pipe lamp by the end of the tutorial!
Here is the complete parts and tools list.
If you want to use real industrial parts then you'll have to go to a hardware store like Home Depot or Lowes, but these parts are very expensive.
It is not necessary to use real industrial parts to make a lamp, so if you want to save a bunch of money then click on the amazon affiliate links below for cheaper versions of what they have at the hardware stores.

if you want to make the adjustable furniture leveling feet then you'll need a tapping kit and a drill press

This is the drill press that I use at home

wire strippers / cutters

Your best off getting these parts from a local hardware store such as Home Depot
(1) 10" x 3/4" black iron nipple
(1) 16" x 3/4" black iron nipple
(1) 24" x 3/4" black iron nipple
(4) 3/4" black iron plugs. These are what the leveling feet attach to after they are tapped and threaded. You can also just glue some felt to the bottom of them instead of tapping and threading them.
(1) 3/4" black iron union
(1) short 3/4" black iron nipple. Anything from a close to 3" should be good. This is the nipple that goes from the top of the electric box to the bottom half of the union
(1) roll of 18/2 SPT-1 lamp wire
If you choose to tap and thread the plugs for the adjustable feet you will need a
(1) 5/16" drill bit for metal
you will also need some clamps for this step
If you buy a 3/4 x 1/4 inch bushing like what I used for the cord where it exits the tee then you'll need a
(1) 1/2" drill bit for metal
Alternatively you can try to buy a 3/4 x 1/2 inch bushing instead and maybe will not have to drill it out
(1) single pole electric switch
(1) face plate cover for electric box
(1) Metal Weatherproof electric box with at least 2 3/4" holes
(2) 3 conductor wago connectors
(2) 3/4" x 1/8" bushings for the threaded lamp rod to attach too
(1) 3/4" x 1/4" bushing or 3/4" x 1/2" bushing. I used the 3/4" x 1/4" bushing but I had to drill the hole out with a half inch bit so the surgical tubing can fit through it. Maybe try getting the 3/4" x 1/2" one to avoid drilling it out.
**** tools *****
either 2 pipe wrenches, 2 channel locks or 1 of each
(1) hack saw
(1) small flat head and phillips screw driver
(1) pliers
(2) small zip ties
if you opt to cut the threaded lamp rod rather than to buy the pre cut rods that I have linked to hear https://geni.us/LampRodPieces
then you'll need a hack saw and a flat and round file
to separate the neutral and hot wires you'll want a hook knife, razor knife or pair of good scissors
