passion or entitlement? the myth of the ‘prodigy’ author

hello! this week we're going a little off the beaten path for this channel.

to reiterate what i state in the video: this is NOT a video about audra winter or the age of scorpius specifically, but rather a dissection of the factors that i believe lead to audra (and other young authors) rushing to publish before their work is ready. i think this is a much bigger topic than this single incident.

additionally, i realized partway through making this video that i have a LOT more to say about authors as influencers and how social media marketing has influenced publishing and books. please let me know in the comments below if you're interested in hearing me discuss these topics further!
