In the Rohingya refugee camps, a plastic crisis is unfolding. Nearly 1 million people produce 119.8 tons of waste daily, including mountains of plastic polluting the environment. 😔
But on this #WorldEnvironmentDay, there's hope! The @WorldVisionBangladesh Rohingya Crisis Response Programme set up a plastic recycling plant in 2022.
So far, it has recycled:
✅ 80 metric tons of plastic
✅ 3 metric tons of polythene
✅ 8 metric tons into plastic flakes
✅ 0.5 metric tons into plastic pallets
This innovative solution tackles plastic pollution and creates a greener future!
