Give new life to an empty glass bottle with this unique upcycling project! Using paper towels, paint, serviettes, and a few simple materials, we’ll create a beautifully aged, vintage-style bottle ornament. 🌿 What You’ll Need:
✔️ Empty glass bottle
✔️ Paper towels & serviettes
✔️ Acrylic paint & brushes
✔️ Glue & sealant
✔️ Creative touch!
Steps -
1. Clean and prepare. Wash and clean your bottle. Crumple some paper towels, and remove a pattern from some serviettes.
2. Cover the bottle with a layer of glue mix (1 part water, 4 parts glue), then add the crumpled paper towels over. Add more glue mix over, ensuring to remove air pockets. (Similar to Paper Mache). Let dry overnight.
3. Paint the bottle with acrylic or craft paint. One thick layer. Let dry.
4. Cover the work area (Where the serviette print will go) with glue mix, then add the serviette print, followed by more glue mix. Again, make sure to remove all air pockets. Let dry.
5. Use paint to blend the edges of the serviette with the rest of the bottle color. Once dry, use a different color to add more patterns and textures to the bottle. You'll also need to paint the cap. Let dry overnight.
6. Use a clear sealant to cover the entire bottle. (Helps preserve it)
