Windy day so another rerun! Grayson became a village on April 19, 1906, and has a population of under 200 people. It is located 10 miles north of the beautiful Qu'Appelle Valley, also centrally located 25 minutes each way to Esterhazy, Melville, and Neudorf. The village settlers came mainly from Austria, Poland, and Germany in 1896. Grayson is well known for its Ottenbreits Grayson Sausage, family-owned since 1959. I also love the uniqueness of the rooftop of the hotel located across the street from Ottenbreits. The Community Rink, a lot of small towns had these types of rinks back in the day, lots of history.
