Dehumanite: Relaxing Ambient Sci Fi Music for the Detached and Disconnected

They call us Dehumanite. Poor souls who enlisted in the first wave of the Bionica Program with promise of lifelong financial provision. My family needed the money, so I submitted my application. The corporate overseers of the Bionica Program couldn’t foresee the damage it would cause to those involved and society around them. As participants began undergoing alterations, their humanity seemed to dwindle and fade. With every procedure memories would disappear, emotions decreased, and life itself was sucked from the body until a final flickering light went out. No longer fit for society, Dehumanite were banished to The Sandlands and the Bionica Program was discontinued. What they didn’t know, or didn’t want to believe, was that I, some how, never changed. I watched as my fellow participants slowly evaporated within themselves, and yet I remained. Every memory experienced. Every emotion felt. When the banishment came, the Program workers dragged me kicking and screaming to the edge of town, chalking it up to technical errors in my body’s code, like I'm some malfunctioning kitchen appliance AI. But what's done is done. I don’t know why I survived the Bionica Program, but I need to get back to my family. They need to know I’m still here.
